MuseoSpace Stichting was founded on the 25th of May 2020 by Diana Fehr. Since then it has been committed to the pursuit of its statutory objectives. MuseoSpace believes in a creative and socially inclusive society and takes opportunities to make a cultural contribution to societal challenges. The foundation supports the museum landscape, which has the power to shape responsible innovations.

Objectives, Directors, and Activities

The objective of the foundation is to raise cultural impact on society empowered by innovation. By building a new Culture Innovation Community the foundation brings together partners across disciplines, countries, and sectors. Their goal is to create an innovation ecosystem that can deliver impact and help to transform change in the sector.

The main features of the policy plan

The activities of the Foundation are aimed at achieving its goal. We are currently involved to build the new Culture Innovation Community. The board is in charge of the management of the foundation. More information about this project can be found here. The specific activities that the foundation will further develop and expand on, creating awareness and visibility for value-driven institutions. For the start-up phase, the foundation expects to receive donations from institutions, companies, and other entities. The raised capital will be invested promptly in the respective project sections.

ANBI Status

The Foundation has the status of an ANBI (Public Benefit Organisation) since January 2022, which allows to receive Dutch tax advantages. This includes being able to receive donations exempt from gift tax and giving donor’s the possibility to deduct their donations fully or partly from their income tax liability. Furthermore, the foundation activities are not aimed at making profits for its own benefit.

The remuneration policy

Both the Board and the Advisory Board do not receive any compensation for their work as such. If necessary, they can claim an expense allowance and an appropriate attendance fee. Currently, the foundation is working with freelancers and will hire employees as soon as the workload requires it.

Annual report and annual accounts

The annual reports and annual accounts will be published from 2022 onwards.
